Counselling in Bristol
A calmer place to begin again
Private therapy for anxiety, burnout and the things that are hard to say out loud. In person in Clifton, or online from wherever you feel comfortable.

What people usually come to me with
Anxiety that won’t switch off
The racing mind at 3am, the dread before ordinary things, the sense of bracing for something.
Burnout and losing yourself
When work has quietly taken all of it and you can’t remember what you used to enjoy.
Grief, endings and change
Loss of a person, a relationship, a version of your life you expected to have.
Hello, I’m Nadia
I’m a BACP-registered counsellor and I’ve been practising for eleven years, the last six of them here in Bristol.
Therapy works best when you don’t have to perform. There’s no script in my room and nothing you could say that I haven’t heard with kindness before.
Fees, in plain view
You shouldn’t have to email to find out what something costs. Concessionary spaces are kept aside each week. Just ask.
What happens when you get in touch
-
A free 15-minute call
A chance to ask anything, and for both of us to get a sense of whether we’d work well together.
-
Your first session
We’ll talk about what’s brought you here, at whatever pace feels manageable. You won’t be asked to commit to anything.
-
Then, usually weekly
Most people come once a week to begin with. You can pause or stop whenever you need to.
Questions people ask before booking
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No. You can get in touch directly, and nothing is shared with your GP unless you ask me to.
Is what I say confidential?
Yes. The only exception is if I believed you or someone else were at serious risk, and even then I would talk to you first wherever I could.
How many sessions will I need?
There’s no fixed number. Some people come for six weeks, some for a year. We’ll check in regularly on whether it’s still helping.
Can I use my health insurance?
Some insurers cover sessions with a BACP-registered counsellor. It’s worth checking your policy before we start.
The first step is just a conversation
Fifteen minutes on the phone, to see whether we’re a good fit. Nothing is booked and nothing is owed.
