Honestly, who this is and isn’t for.
A good fit if
- You run a service business and most enquiries come by phone, email or booking
- You want something designed for you, but you don’t want to become a webmaster
- You’d rather pay £100 a month than £3,000 at once
- You’ll want to change things occasionally and would like that to be easy
Probably not if
- You need a large ecommerce shop or complex software. That’s a different job, and I’ll say so
- You want to build and manage the website yourself; a DIY website builder may suit you better
- You’d rather own everything outright with a one-off payment. I can quote that instead
Why Lavender
You’ll deal with the person who builds it.
I’ve spent fifteen years building software, most of it for companies large enough that nobody ever spoke to the person writing the code. Lavender is the opposite of that.
I started it because good local businesses kept ending up with websites that didn’t reflect them: either an expensive one-off they couldn’t change, or a template they never had time to finish. Neither is much help when someone’s deciding whether to call you.
So I keep the studio deliberately small: a handful of clients, all of them mine, all of them with my direct number.

When your site goes live. There’s no deposit and no setup fee, so you see the design, ask for changes and approve the finished site before the first £100 is due. I’m not VAT registered, so £100 is the whole amount.
